An entrepreneur at heart, Matt is driven by establishing and growing technology businesses. Matt is the founder and CEO of BlueSky, a leading enterprise cloud solution provider. Having successfully started and exited several technology companies, Matt is also the founder of an early-stage private equity fund. Matt is an active tech start-up investor with a passion for bringing technology-related commercial sense to early-stage businesses. Matt holds a Business Science Honours Degree in Information Systems from the University of Cape Town. When Matt is not BlueSky thinking, he can be found spending time with his wonderful family, ultra-distance trail running or deep-sea fishing.
An experienced executive and thought leader with a demonstrated history of working and delivering significant results in Business & Digital Transformation, Cloud Consulting, the Financial Services Industry, and Social Enterprises, skilled as an engineer, futurist, strategist, innovator, and complex problem solver, Rassie has a heart and passion for Client Centricity and helping people.
As the Chief Operations Officer of BlueSky, Rassie’s Entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen are fundamental to the phenomenal growth plans BlueSky is targeting.
Rassie holds an Engineering Degree (University of Pretoria) an MBA Degree (Aston University in the UK), Lean Six Sigma Black Belt accreditation (BMGI), and various Agile, Data, Design, AI, Project management, and People Change certificates.
Rassie enjoys giving back to the community through his Non-Profit and impacting/changing lives for the better, loves a hike in the Mountains, traveling the world, and speaking on future trends and topics at conferences, but more than anything Rassie loves spending time with his beautiful wife and family.
Rassie values relationships and networking and stands strong amongst the principles of servanthood and stewardship.
Rayan brings extensive experience in financial leadership and operational excellence to BlueSky as the Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining BlueSky, Rayan served as Group CFO for a pan-African digital services and connectivity provider and held variance board positions. His expertise includes financial strategy, governance, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and human capital management. Rayan is passionate about fostering collaborative work environments and driving inclusive cultures that promote teamwork and achieve optimal results. His leadership and financial acumen will enhance BlueSky’s Finance and Human Capital functions. Rayan is a registered Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA from Henley Business School Africa.
Nicole is a seasoned Business Executive specialising in Data and AI, with over 20 years of experience driving transformative solutions across the full business value chain. Since 2009, she has led the strategic design and implementation of data-driven initiatives, from omni-channel optimisation to cutting-edge omni-digital programs, delivering measurable value and innovation.
Passionate about inclusive leadership, Nicole is a dedicated advocate for empowering women in technology, actively mentoring and championing diversity in the tech space. Her forward-thinking approach and commitment to excellence continue to shape impactful data strategies and foster a culture of innovation and equity.
Rob Williamson is an accomplished business leader with over 30 years of experience in sales, customer success, and driving innovation. As the Regional Manager for Workday Inc. in the Western Cape, he was instrumental in establishing the company’s Cape Town presence and received the “Newcomer Making the Biggest Impact” award in 2022. Before Workday, Rob had a 17-year career at Oracle, holding multiple leadership positions and serving on the South Africa Exco. He also worked at Siemens Business Services, where he transformed the business model to a services focus.
Rob is committed to community outreach, lectures pro bono, and enjoys spending time with his family. Steven Covey inspires his life philosophy: “To Live, to Love, to Learn, and to Leave a Legacy.”
Martin has immersed himself in Design Thinking and human centred methodologies to uncover the deep motivations of people in order to create meaningful experiences for them while delivering business value.
Martin leads dynamic teams to design these experiences, while remaining hands-on within these projects – creating innovative products, services and experiences. He is also an experienced facilitator and teacher of Design Thinking, having guided corporate teams, individuals and students at various levels through Design Thinking methodologies.
Tracy is a commercially astute and results driven senior executive with over 20 years of experience in shaping business strategies, driving innovation and delivering exceptional outcomes in the Telco and IT sectors. At BlueSky, Tracy plays a pivotal role steering complex, high pressure projects to success, leveraging her ability to lead diverse teams and build strong stakeholder relationships.
Tracy’s expertise spans business consulting, strategy development, product lifecycle management and operational optimisation. As a forward thinking leader, she is committed to driving initiatives that not only enhance productivity but also delivers measurable value to BlueSky’s clients.
As TMT Industry Executive at Bluesky, Colin engages with all our Business Units and delivery organisation to conceptualise, design and deliver best of breed digital enablement solutions to our customers.
As a seasoned industry professional with more than 25 years’ experience working in the Information and communications industries, Colin has worked in various specialist as well as managerial roles assisting communication service providers, vendors as well as research and social impact organisations in successfully servicing their customers.
Colin holds a Bachelors Degree in Electronic engineering (B.Eng) & a Masters degree in Industrial Engineering (M.Eng) from University of Pretoria & Masters degree in Business Leadership (MBL) from the UNISA SBL. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI) and registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
When Colin is not creating BlueSky magic for our customers, he enjoys spending quality time with his family and advancing his digital manufacturing hobby creating 3D printed & laser cut widgets, gifts and object de art in collaboration with his artistic wife and super creative children.
As Head of Sales at Bluesky, Dave is passionate about people and technology and leveraging the two to deliver value and growth, always with a customer centric lens.
With over 25 years of experience in both South Africa and the UK, Dave has a proven track record of leading high-performing teams, building strong relationships and implementing innovative sales strategies in this hugely exciting digital transformation era.
Outside of work, Dave is a family man and sport enthusiast, playing provincial golf and social Padel. He loves to travel with the constant mantra in both work and play of living life to the fullest.
Tashya is a passionate individual driven by her zest for people management supporting a diverse workforce. Tashya is a proud member of South African Board of People Practices.
She always provides quality services to attract, develop, motivate, and retain a diverse workforce within all areas of the work environment. This is accomplished with an emphasis on customer service based on consultation and communication with all employees. Her commitment to working strategically with the diverse workforce and surrounding community in identifying and responding to its changing needs is evident based on her 15 plus years of experience in the People Management Environment otherwise commonly referred to as Human Resources. As The Head of People at BlueSky, she provides leadership and guidance in the development, implementation, and administration of policies and procedures.
Aside from the working environment Tashya is a proud Mum to her two gorgeous sons, whom she commonly refers to as her greatest blessings.
Rob is a seasoned consulting and project delivery executive with more than 20 years of digital and technology experience across various sectors including Financial Services, Telecommunications, Supply Chain Management, Retail, and Manufacturing. He is passionate about working with teams to successfully deliver solutions to clients and users of their systems. Rob holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours (Information Systems) degree and various project management and agile certifications. Outside of work, Rob enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoys music and cycling, and is a fan of many sports, especially rugby, cycling, and cricket.
Chris is an experienced IT practitioner. Chris has many years experience in operations management, programme and project management for delivery complex multi-disciplinary projects in a variety of industries and environments. Chris has managed and led IT strategy, IT roadmap, business process re-engineering, systems selection, solution architect and design, system implementation and organisational change programs. This experience is across multiple tools and technologies– supply chain, WMS, ERP, Salesforce, custom development, business intelligence, strategic solution selection / evaluation.
In the role of Customer Success for BlueSky, Chris is responsible for all the delivery elements of the operations teams that includes the solution engineers, architects, functional consultants, business analysts, project managers and developers.
When Chris is not overseeing the delivery teams for BlueSky, he can be found together with his wife overseeing his 2 kids while trying to find the time to take a ride, run or spend time in the peace and quiet of the bush.
